Crews are still working on Lennar’s new Lakeside townhomes in Red Rocks Ranch, but what caught my attention is inside. One floor plan puts the primary suite on the same level as the kitchen and living room. If you’ve looked for a townhome with that layout in Lakewood or Morrison, you know how quickly the list gets short.

Lennar’s Plan 505 has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a garage for two cars. The primary suite has a private bath and walk-in closet, and the second bedroom gives you space for guests or a home office. It’s the layout I’d look for among the end units. If a main floor primary suite is on your list, ask for Plan 505 by name and confirm which homesites offer it.

The Lakeside Collection also has two story options. Plans 501 and 502 put the kitchen and living areas downstairs and the primary suite upstairs. That layout reminds me of the Tamarisk townhomes near South Indiana Street and Morrison Road.

I hear from buyers who would happily give up a little square footage to have the rooms they use every day on one level. A flight of stairs seems like a small detail on a floor plan. In a home you live in every day, it can be the detail that settles the decision.
